NEMO Studio will host an AI in public space workshop at the Studio where we will talk with experts from different backgrounds and participating audience about the application and effects of data technology and AI in the public space of the city. The AI INCUBATOR installation acts as a 'Conversation Piece' that stimulates, imagines and gives direction to the discussion.
Program
The Workshop consists of four parts. After the introduction, we start with a presentation about data research at the Marineterrein and a demonstration of the AI INCUBATOR installation. After the presentations, the participants speak at four tables about the impact of AI on public space. The workshop will be concluded with a wrap-up and a perspective on how the project could be further developed.

Presentation: Data research Marineterrein: 15.50 – 16.00
Architect/data researcher Tom van Arman (TAPP) shows how data are collected at the Marineterrein Amsterdam and how data technology can be used as an urban design tool.
Presentation: AI Incubator: 16.00 – 16.10
Vladimir Grafov, Federica Cefis Colombo and Frank Suurenbroek (AUAS) demonstrate the AI INCUBATOR installation that consists of 4 acts: Scanning, Pattern Recognition, Control and Collaboration. The last act, which deals with the question of how we can collaborate with AI, is the topic of the workshop.
Workshops: AI City: 16.20 – 17.00
After the presentations, the participants speak at four tables about the impact of AI on public space, addressing four topics: mobility, community, agency, art.
Group session: 17.00 – 17.30
The results of the discussions at the four tables will be visualized in the AI Incubator and discussed in a communal debate. The workshop will be concluded with a wrap-up and a perspective on how the project could be further developed.
