No city is the same, but we all share common challenges and frustrations. The City Innovation Exchange Lab (CITIXL) provided a 90 minute hands-on workshop offering crash course pre-prototyping session to 1) identify a common civic problem, 2) brainstorm and map out viable solutions, and 3) identify the quick wins for further development in your home city! The CITIXL led a workshop for a Catalonian delegation to scope issues and help come up with some local challenges to start exploring solutions. We found the biggest problem in the region was Barcelona taking resources and talent away from surrounding communities. Facing this challenge by engaging local stakeholders, families, students, entrepreneurs and citizens seems to be a first step towards co-developing solutions.
