How do we know when we are being monitored? Similar to covers webcam covers the ShutterCam gives citizen control when they are being monitored. In the most recent deployment of The Shuttercam, Ajax and local residents can physically see when the cameras are recording or not. The shutters can visibly cover the cameras at off-peak time. This way, it is clear for all guests, visitors and passers-by when the cameras are monitoring or not
